Our Story
How Hope House Started
Hope House Fallbrook was born from inspiration—an idea ignited by the urgent need and heartfelt desire to support the women and children in our community who are in dire need of assistance to regain stability and pursue independence. Guided by a profound sense of purpose, we are dedicated to serving those who are striving to rebuild their lives and embark on a path towards self-sufficiency.
Why The Need
Following the inception of the women's shelter idea, we delved into assessing the demand and were astounded by what we uncovered. Conversations with various sources revealed a staggering number of women, many with young children, living on the streets—a reality far beyond what we had initially imagined. Statements from organizations like Hope Clinic Fallbrook and Vista Community Clinic underscored the urgent need for immediate intervention. Reports of multiple women seeking assistance at clinics with no available options and families resorting to living in their cars painted a bleak picture of the situation. Learning that existing shelters have lengthy waitlists of 8-12 months only reinforced the pressing need for action. It became clear that a solution was needed urgently.
The women of the Fallbrook/Bonsall and surrounding areas area are in dire need of a local haven, a place where they can find solace and security as they navigate through profound emotional and spiritual challenges. They require more than just shelter—they need a supportive community that will stand by them, offering guidance and compassion as they heal from deep wounds and rebuild their lives.
